7 Ways To Enjoy Pumpkin This Fall

Eats & Drinks

Fall is still in the air! We have collected some of our favorite recipes that our family enjoys every fall!

Pumpkin Fries

You can make this savory treat with any seasoning you like, but our favorite is curry fries!

Cut, clean and bake your pumpkins. Once they have cooled enough to handle, remove the skins  and cut into fries. Toss with salt, curry powder or paste and oil. Fry in a skillet until crispy and browned on the edges or bake in the oven. This is a bit of work, but it is so worth it!

Pumpkin Purée

Cut, scoop out the seeds and bake your pumpkins. Once they have cooled enough to handle, peel the skin off and blend the pumpkin in your blender or food processor. Strain out the excess liquid and volia, you have homemade pumkin puree!

Pumpkin Smoothies

This is a great healthy way to make your breakfast smoothie extra filling and tasty! Just add a half cup purée to your next smoothie!

Here’s our favorite recipe to make:

  • Banana
  • Pumpkin purée
  • Mangos
  • Pumpkin seed milk or water
  • Almond butter
  • Pinch of nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon

Pumpkin Seed Milk

Pumpkin Seed Milk is perfect for lattes, cereal, baking, or my personal favorite, Golden Lattes!

Mix a half cup of pumpkin seeds with two cups of water into a blender and blend at high speed for about a minute. Strain and keep in a mason jar in the fridge.

Be sure to experiment with flavorings!

  • For an extra pumpkin “kick”, add 2 tablespoons of pumpkin purée.
  • Add cocoa powder and honey for a delicious chocolate milk, or throw in a dash of vanilla!
  • Isabelle's personal favorite way to use it is making a Golden Latte with it. She just adds vanilla, turmeric, ginger and a touch of honey! It’s so good!

Pumpkin Lattes

Who doesn't love a warm latte in the cold fall! To make this tasty drink, combine one cup of pumpkin seed milk, 2 tablespoons of pumpkin purée, two dashes pumpkin spice, and a cup of coffee in a sauce pan. Add honey to taste. You can also add an optional a half teaspoon of vanilla. It's amazing paired with whip cream or mini marshmallows.

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds (Two ways!)

Roasted pumpkin seeds are a perfect Fall and Winter snack! We have included two ways to make delicious pumpkin seeds, one in the oven, and the other in the air fryer.

OVEN:

  • Preheat oven to 350 °F.
  • Sort, rinse, then pat dry your seeds. If using store bought seeds, skip this step.
  • Toss the pumpkin seeds in oil and your choice of seasonings.
    • Our favorite flavors: Paprika, Garlic & Salt and Honey Cinnamon
  • Add parchment paper to a cookie sheet.
  • Spread an even layer of seeds on the cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 10 minutes at a time until slightly golden brown.

AIR FRYER:

  • Sort, rinse, then pat dry your seeds. If using store bought seeds, skip this step.
  • Toss the pumpkin seeds in oil and your choice of seasonings.
    • Our favorite flavors: Paprika, Garlic & Salt and Cinnamon & Honey
  • Take out the crisper plate from the air fryer and add your seasoned seeds.
  • Put the crisper plate back on top of the seeds (To prevent them from popping).
  • Set your air fryer to 190 °F and cook for 10 minutes at a time.

Pumpkin Oatmeal

To spice up your bowl of oatmeal, add some homemade pumpkin sauce to it! to make our sauce, we take pumpkin purée, add pumpkin spice and honey or maple syrup to taste.
