These 5 Teas Will Soothe Your Sore Throat!

Home

With the seasons changing and winter colds almost upon us, I decided to share my 5 favorite teas for soothing a sore throat. So, without further ado, let’s get right into it.

5. Throat Coat Tea

This tea is so easy to find in a local grocery store or even online. It was probably the first tea that came to your mind when I mentioned teas for soothing a sore throat.

I think a pro of this tea is how easy it is to find and make.

4. Ginger Tea

To make this tea, all you will need is a slice of ginger root and some honey. You can alternatively buy a boxed ginger tea, but I prefer the aforementioned method and have noticed it is more effective.

A bonus to this tea is that it helps with stomach aches and nausea.

3. Pepper Mint Tea

Peppermint is so soothing to sip on when your throat is sore. This tea is also amazing for soothing nasua.

I like to add some mediational herbs to this tea. My favorites are Mullen Leaf, Raspberry Leaf and White Willow Bark. I will talk more about this mix of herbs in a bit.

I also sometimes add Nettles which help with inflammation and allergies.

2.  Herbs + Tea Of Choice

Something I do quite often is add Mullen Leaf, Raspberry Leaf and White Willow Bark to my favorite tea. I commonly add these to Bengal Spice Tea, or any tea I am in the mood for.

What makes these herbs so good is how great they are for your lungs and health in general.

Mullen Leaf is known for helping with coughs, sore throats, colds, and bronchitis. It is also very anti-inflammatory.

Raspberry Leaf is a power herb when it comes to helping relieve respiratory problems, sore throats and it can even help you get over a flu by boosting your immune system.

White Willow Bark is a very effective and natural pain reliever. It can be helpful if you are having a sore throat, which is why I commonly add it to my teas.

1. Lemon Honey Tea

Now for my favorite soothing tea; Honey Lemon Tea. Although it is super simple, I have found this tea to be the most effective for me. It gives me almost instant relief and tastes nice too.

All you need for this tea is lemon juice and honey. It is good to note that Lemon is a little hard on teeth, so I would not suggest having it every single day and instead doing a mix of all the teas listed throughout the week.

I hope you found this article helpful! Be sure to let me know what you’d like me to talk about next in the comments below!
