If you have been following us on social media, you will know we are in the process of opening a new Latah County chapter of the National Ladies Homestead Gathering. We even had a very successful Interest Meeting for it last month. You may be wondering, what is the National Ladies Homestead Gathering?
The National Ladies Homestead Gathering is a community of homesteading women who looking to share knowledge, grow their local community, build friendships. The first chapter was founded in 2011 in Georgia by Cyndi Ball and has since grown to 28 chapters in 15 states.
Each gathering have a Swap and Shop time to trade, swap or barter, a mini talk by one of our members, Atta Girls time where we share our accomplishments and our challenges, a main speaker talk, announcements and a time to socialize!
This is a group of women building each other up whether they are in the planning stages of their homestead or have an already well established homestead, we all have something to give to one another be it friendship, homestead advice, or encouragement.
There are urban, suburban, and rural Chapters nationwide. It’s all about doing things at HOME inSTEAD of going to the store. Whether you like doing things the old-fashioned way, have a desire to be self-sufficient or just want to meet people who like plants and chickens as much as you do, you’re going to love the National Ladies Homestead Gathering. Join the online community and enjoy the National Virtual Gatherings for free!
