As the temperatures drop and the holidays grow nearer, many of us are looking to buy some gifts locally! Luckily for you, I have put together this article to help you do just that.
Shop at local businesses, stores and boutiques
This probably goes without saying, but local businesses often have products from other local businesses in stock. You never know what you may find!
Gift cards to local stores and restaurants make a great gift and another way to support local.
Shop Etsy
Did you know you can filter your Etsy search to find only local options?
All you need to do is click "All Filters". Scroll down until you see the Shop Location section.
Click "Custom" and enter your state or local cities. You can also use the United States option to search for products made in the USA.
Did you know that we have an Etsy store? Our products are all handmade right here in the US by our family-owned and operated business.
Local Craft & Holiday Fairs
Shopping at a local fair is a great way to find local gifts.
I think one of my favorite things about local fairs is that you don't have to wait for the shipping and you get to see all the products in person.
These fairs are a great way to shop for a variety of gifts, so you can get presents for all the people on your list.
For our North Idaho followers, we will be at the Viola Community Center Holiday Craft Fair selling artisan jewelry and hats on Oct 16th 9am-4pm. Make sure to come by and pick up a gift this holiday season!
Ask In A Local Group
I usually post in my local city or regional Facebook group. If you are not in one yet, I suggest you join one. They are very helpful.
Here is a template for you to use to ask about local places or businesses to buy gifts from:
